Social media propaganda has been settled as a global threat that has terrified the stability of the system. Fake news campaigns are one of the factors of a clash between giants. Nations use the power of information warfare as a weapon against their adversaries as this is the most effective way to influence the target audience.

Social Media disinformation campaigns have always been a powerful tool of Pakistan that it uses against its biggest rival Nation India. The most recent instance is that Last Month, the Central Government of New Delhi (India) have blocked 35 YouTube channels with 2 Twitter accounts, 2 Instagram Accounts, 2 Websites, and a Facebook account linked to Pakistan were identified to be spreading fake anti- India news and other content.

Over the past months, India too has been operating a misinformation campaign by employing its media outlets to spread their administration’s narrative against Pakistan. To prevent the problem of disseminating Fake news Recently, the Pakistan government has familiarized a new cyber-crime action on February 21, that could see social-media handlers imprisoned for up to five years for posting “fake news” about the military, judiciary, or public officers.

History shows several instances that India and Pakistan, both nations carried out numerous disinformation campaigns. In 2019, a longstanding battle between India and Pakistan escalated.
