Iran has had a protracted rivalry with the countries in Middle East. The relationships have majorly been sore with Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Interestingly, the reason has not just been religious differences but the desire to gain power over the entire Middle East.

Of late, Iran has been indulging into a different kind of attacking technique, i.e., cyber attacks. In a recent attack on the Middle East, an Iranian cyber terrorist hacked an Abu Dhabi-based kindergarten website until the issue was reported by a prospective parent. It is still unclear whether the attack was part of a propaganda or just a sheer display of power and advancement of the Iranians. But one thing is clear that Iran was successful in the attack anyway.

IMN Hacked

The website of an Abu Dhabi-based kindergarten got hacked recently. The bizarre news came to light as an interested parent visited the website to look for admission details but found something unusual instead. Bizarre because, why would a nation try to hack into a nursery school’s website despite it having no political affiliations.

The home page of the website for International Montessori Nursery, Abu Dhabi when accessed by a prospective parent, displayed an unexpected message which was left by the hacker. The message read:My Love Iran. Persian Gulf for ever. The hacker apparently used the tag ‘HackeD By OmiDeR’ to hack the website.

Reportedly, this is the second time that the school’s website got hacked however, not by the same hacker. The hacker tagged as ‘HackeD By OmiDeR’ has also left his mark on a couple of other websites including a website for kickboxing and one for religious purpose.

Security researchers have observed lately, that there is a sudden increase as well as evolution in the hacking technique of Iranian hackers. These continuous attacks on Middle East countries, especially Saudi-UAE, must be considered as a loud and clear alert from the Iranians to expect bigger attacks. If these attacks continue to increase and evolve in the same way then the Arab nations will require gearing up for something more magnanimous in future.
