One of the most valuable Singapore-based Crypto Currency Company Crypto.com comes in a limelight for joining hands with Qatar in the field of Sports. In the last two years, crypto participation in the sports industry has developed from niche investments to a huge growth driver.

Crypto.com is manifesting interest in the Middle Eastern nations. Crypto firms are betting on sports marketing through advertisements that will help them go into the mainstream. Recently, FIFA has settled a sponsorship agreement with Crypto.com for the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022.

Partnership with FIFA is the latest big investment of the firm. Crypto.com will be the absolute cryptocurrency trading platform guarantor of the event. Its branding will be done both inside and outside the tournament’s stadiums. As being the official sponsor of the tournament crpto.com will provide the scope for freshers and existing users to participate in the matches and win exclusive merchandise.

After signing the deal with FIFA, cryptocurrency is now signing an agreement with Investopia Summit (Dubai) that will be held on 28th March in Tandem (a language exchange app on IOS and Android) with the World Government Summit. The summit will discuss major economic transformations (Cryptocurrency) in the world and their impact on investors.

In terms of partnerships, the firm enjoys high-profile collaborations with several exclusive sports and entertainment properties globally that comprise motorsport, MMA, basketball, and ice hockey, along with football. Most recently, Crypto.com fixed a momentous deal in Los Angeles and also became the authorized cryptocurrency exchange and trading platform for the men’s and women’s professional football leagues in Australia.

In the past Crypto.com was highlighted several times for dealing with the Ex workers of Hacking Teams and DarkMatter. A few days back, Crypto was in news for hiring Dan Wolfford (Ex NSA analyst) worked for Emirati-based controversial surveillance firm DarkMatter. The later update was given by the firm that Wolfford “was not onboarded”, and would no longer be a part of the firm.

In 2019, Cryptocurrency commerce giant Coinbase acquired a blockchain intellectual startup called Neutrino founded by three former employees of the controversial spyware company Hacking Team, known for selling surveillance and hacking technology in Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan, which was then used as a weapon against journalists and dissidents.

The recent collaborations of Crypto indicate that it is moving towards branding itself loudly by associating with top international sports events. Also, there is a high possibility that the company is serving its associated countries with cyber offensive capabilities too, given its past collaboration in the cyber offensive field.

The recent statement by Kris Marszalek, co-founder and Chief Executive officer of crypto.com that -“We could not be more excited to sponsor the FIFA World cup and to drive further awareness of Crypto.com globally”, suggests that Crypto is eager on branding itself by associating itself with global sports events such as FIFA 2022.
